In 2012, I bought my first drone hell-bent on learning to fly.  A year later, I modified one of the first DJI Phantom drones with a camera gimbal I got off eBay that some guy built in his basement.  I retrofitted the gimbal to the drone and I couldn't believe it worked.

I remember the first day I flew the modified drone for production, saying "This is the Future".
